This device, coupled with an F3 chip module, is all you will need to recalibrate Ford pre-2005. The Jaybird plugs into the mini-USB on one side and the F3 modules on the other. It takes the place of a chip burner and J3 port adapter (it IS a chip burner with native J3 interface). This device will NOT read stock ECUs, but you can usually download the binary from the internet. If you need to read stock ECUs, you'll still want to look at the BURN2+F2A+F2E. Comes with mini-USB cable.
Fantastic device! Works as described, exclusively for writing Ford chips. I keep mine inside my Ranger so I cam make changes to it's tune as needed.
by far the best bang for the buck device for reading/writing j3 chips, can read and write SCT chips as well as many others, highly recommend

Excellent for tuning mildly modified Fords , I set my customers up with them for alot of 87-95 mass air mustangs with heads, cam and intake swaps , wideband is still needed to dial air/fuel in but this makes it easy for my customers to get email files from me
